Vegetables is a 2012 computer-animated comedy film produced by Geo Animation Studios for Paramount Pictures. The film was directed by Ruairi Robinson. The film features the voices of Tom Kenny, Chris Jones, Jim Cummings, Grey DeLisle and Tom Hanks. The film was released in theaters on July 18, 2012.

The film has been in development since 1996 and Geo Animation Studios has been working on its computer-animated film of the working title Food, most recently after being scrapped in late 1999. However, as of February 2005 Geo had shelved the project again.

As of March 2005, Geo announced that the film was put on "hold". In July 2010, Paramount Pictures and Geo Animation Studios announced a new title for the film, Vegetables. The film was originally scheduled for release on December 9, 2011, but it was pushed to July 18, 2012. On May 2, 2011, it was announced that Tom Kenny will provide his voice to the main character, Palion The Carrot, Ruairi Robinson will be directing, with Jake Sharratt producing.

Vegetables was distributed by Paramount Pictures and it was released on July 18, 2012.

Vegetables was released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 25, 2012 with a short film Choopie's Guide.

A video game based on the film was released by D3 Publisher on July 17, 2012 in North America, July 20, 2012 in Europe and July 27, 2012 in Japan. It was released on the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS.


Ruairi Robinson, the director of the film, commented in November 2012 the possibility of the sequel: "Vegetables is about food and candies, and I think there's an sequel or anything - I think."
